Atmel creates embedded toolchain for AVR micros2011-05-04 08:55 GoldTech Components Co.,Ltd.
Atmel is aiming to provide a complete toolchain for its AVR ranges of microcontroller.
Supporting the megaAVR, AVR XMEGA and AVR UC3 families, the Xplained evaluation kits include a range of extension boards to support system design. The supplier is offering extension boards for accelerometer, temperature sensor and cryptographic authentication applications. “The launch of the new AVR Xplained kits is another step towards providing a complete microcontroller toolchain to our customers and the application specific add-on boards greatly simplify system integration,” said Ingar Fredriksen," senior director, AVR product marketing at Atmel. “The kits and add-on boards connect to the development environment in AVR Studio with software libraries and a wide range of code examples," said Fredriksen. Around the microcontroller the kits include external circuitry such as the firm’s QTouch slider and buttons, LEDs, analogue light and temperature sensors, USB port and four expansion headers. |
